The Alocasia Dragon Scale Mint is a breathtaking rare tropical houseplant admired for its extraordinary textured foliage and stunning mint-green variegation. Its thick, sculpted leaves feature beautifully raised veins and intricate patterns resembling dragon scales, enhanced by gorgeous shades of soft mint, silvery green, and deep emerald. This adorable young pup offers collectors the exciting opportunity to nurture a highly sought-after jewel Alocasia from its earliest stages.
Collector Rarity: Rare Collector
✦Why You'll Love It
- •The Alocasia Dragon Scale Mint is highly sought after for its incredible reptilian leaf texture, beautiful mint-colored variegation, and unique collector appeal. Each new leaf can develop its own combination of mint-green marbling and darker green tones, making every stage of growth exciting. As this young pup matures, its foliage becomes thicker, more sculpted, and increasingly defined, revealing the dramatic dragon-scale appearance that makes this variety so desirable.
Please Note: This listing is for an Alocasia Dragon Scale Mint pup. As a young plant, leaf size, shape, texture, mint coloration, variegation, and root development will naturally vary. Juvenile foliage may not yet display the pronounced texture of mature leaves, and future variegation is not guaranteed. Young pups and highly variegated foliage may experience minor browning, leaf yellowing, or temporary stress during shipping and acclimation. By purchasing, you acknowledge these natural variations and shipping limitations and agree to The Luxe Leaf Co.’s shipping and Live Arrival Guarantee policies.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright, indirect light is best for encouraging healthy growth and supporting beautiful mint variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which may scorch delicate, lighter-colored foliage.
- •Water: Keep the growing medium lightly moist, allowing the top layer to begin drying between waterings. Avoid soggy conditions, as young pups are especially sensitive to root rot.
- •Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally 60–80%, to support healthy root establishment and new foliage development.
- •Soil: Prefers a fine-textured, airy, well-draining aroid mix that retains light moisture while providing excellent airflow around developing roots.
- •Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children.
- •A rare little tropical treasure with dreamy mint-green variegation, extraordinary dragon-scale texture, and incredible potential to grow into a stunning collector's statement plant. 🌿🐉💚✨
