The Alocasia Zebrina is a stunning tropical houseplant admired for its dramatic arrow-shaped foliage and beautifully patterned, zebra-striped stems. Its large, glossy green leaves sit atop tall, slender stalks featuring unique dark brown markings against a light green to yellowish background. With its striking architectural appearance and exotic tropical charm, this Alocasia makes a gorgeous statement in any indoor plant collection.
Collector Rarity: Uncommon Collector
✦Why You'll Love It
- •The Alocasia Zebrina is loved for its distinctive zebra-patterned stems, elegant upright growth, and impressive tropical foliage. Unlike many Alocasias known primarily for their leaf patterns, the Zebrina stands out for its beautifully striped petioles, making every part of the plant visually interesting. As it matures, it develops larger leaves and taller stems, creating a bold, sculptural display that's perfect for tropical plant lovers and collectors alike.
Please Note: Leaf size, shape, stem markings, and fullness will naturally vary between plants. Alocasias may experience minor leaf yellowing, cosmetic damage, or temporary stress during shipping and acclimation. Older leaves may naturally decline as new growth develops. By purchasing, you acknowledge these natural variations and shipping limitations and agree to The Luxe Leaf Co.’s shipping and Live Arrival Guarantee policies.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright, indirect light is best for encouraging healthy growth and maintaining vibrant foliage. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves.
- •Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Keep the soil lightly moist during active growth, but avoid soggy conditions.
- •Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally 60% or higher, to support healthy foliage development.
- •Soil: Prefers a chunky, airy, well-draining aroid mix that retains some moisture while allowing excellent airflow around the roots.
- •Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children.
- •A gorgeous tropical statement plant with iconic zebra-striped stems, elegant green foliage, and unforgettable architectural beauty. 🌿🦓💚✨
