The Peacock Plant is a stunning tropical prayer plant admired for its beautifully patterned foliage that resembles the decorative feathers of a peacock. Each oval leaf features soft green coloring with deep green feather-like markings, while the undersides reveal rich burgundy-purple tones for an extra pop of color. Its elegant foliage and gentle daily leaf movement make it a beautiful living statement in any indoor plant collection.
✦Why You’ll Love It
- •The Peacock Plant offers intricate foliage, gorgeous contrasting colors, and the fascinating movement prayer plants are known for. Its leaves naturally raise and lower in response to the daily light cycle, while its lush growth creates a full tropical display without requiring a large amount of space.
- •Collector Rarity: Uncommon Collector
Please Note: This listing is for a 6-inch Peacock Plant. Each plant is naturally unique and may vary in leaf pattern, coloration, size, height, and overall fullness. Calatheas can be sensitive to changes in humidity and water quality, and minor brown tips, slight curling, or small cosmetic imperfections are common and considered normal. While we carefully package every order to ensure safe arrival, The Luxe Leaf Co. is not responsible for cosmetic damage, minor imperfections, damaged or broken leaves/stems, or environmental stress that may occur during shipping or after delivery. Please review our shipping policies before placing your order.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright to medium indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade or scorch the beautifully patterned foliage.
- •Water: Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, allowing the top inch to begin drying between waterings. Peacock Plants can be sensitive to minerals in tap water, so distilled, filtered, or rainwater is preferred when possible.
- •Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity, ideally 60%+, which helps prevent crispy edges and keeps the foliage looking its best.
- •Growth/Soil: Prefers a rich, airy, well-draining houseplant mix that retains light moisture without becoming waterlogged. Keep it in warm, stable conditions and away from cold drafts.
- •Pet Safety: Pet friendly! Peacock Plants are considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
- •A gorgeous prayer plant with peacock-inspired patterns, rich contrasting foliage, and graceful daily movement. 🦚🌿✨
