The Homalomena is a lush tropical houseplant loved for its broad, glossy foliage and naturally full, bushy growth habit. Closely related to other popular aroids, Homalomena brings a rich tropical look indoors while remaining relatively compact and manageable. Its dense foliage makes it a beautiful choice for adding instant greenery to shelves, plant stands, desktops, or larger indoor displays.
✦Why You’ll Love It
- •Homalomena offers beautiful, lush foliage with an attractive upright growth habit and relatively easy-going care. Its ability to stay full and compact makes it an excellent alternative to larger tropical aroids, while its glossy leaves provide gorgeous year-round greenery.
- •Collector Rarity: Uncommon Collector
Please Note: This listing is for a 6-inch Homalomena. Each plant is naturally unique and may vary in leaf size, coloration, height, and overall fullness. Homalomena can be sensitive to sudden environmental changes and may temporarily droop or lose an older leaf while acclimating to a new environment. While we carefully package every order to ensure safe arrival, The Luxe Leaf Co. is not responsible for cosmetic damage, minor imperfections, damaged or broken leaves/stems, leaf loss, or environmental stress that may occur during shipping or after delivery. Please review our shipping policies before placing your order.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright to medium indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
- •Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil begin to dry. Homalomena prefers consistent moisture but should never remain soggy or waterlogged.
- •Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally around 50–70%, but can adapt to typical household conditions.
- •Growth/Soil: Thrives in a rich, chunky, well-draining aroid mix that retains light moisture while providing plenty of airflow around the roots. Keep in warm, stable conditions and away from cold drafts.
- •Pet Safety: Not pet safe. Homalomena contains calcium oxalate crystals and can be toxic if ingested by cats, dogs, and other pets.
- •A lush tropical beauty with glossy foliage and a naturally full growth habit that brings effortless greenery to any indoor space. 🌿💚✨
