The Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole is a unique tropical philodendron known for its lush, heart-shaped green foliage and distinctly fuzzy petioles. As it matures, the leaves can become larger and more dramatic, while its textured stems give it an unusual look that makes it stand out from more common philodendron varieties.
Collector Rarity: Uncommon / Collector Houseplant
✦Why You’ll Love It
- •The Fuzzy Petiole is a fun addition for collectors who love unique textures and beautiful foliage. Its soft, fuzzy petioles contrast against its smooth green leaves, while its crawling growth habit makes it especially interesting to watch mature. With proper care, its foliage can become increasingly large and impressive over time.
Please Note
Each plant is unique, and size, shape, fullness, leaf count, coloration, and growth pattern may naturally vary. Minor cosmetic imperfections are normal with live plants and do not affect the overall health of the plant. Plants may experience minor stress during shipping and may require a short acclimation period after arrival.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight.
- •Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Avoid consistently soggy soil.
- •Humidity: Prefers moderate to higher humidity, ideally 50–70%+.
- •Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures around 65–85°F and should be protected from cold drafts.
- •Soil: A chunky, airy, well-draining aroid mix is best.
- •Growth Habit: Crawling growth habit that develops horizontally along the soil rather than climbing. A wider planter can accommodate its growth as it matures.
- •Pet Safety: Toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children.
- •A unique collector philodendron with beautiful foliage, fuzzy texture, and impressive mature potential. 🌿
