Known for its breathtaking foliage, the Rex Begonia is a true statement plant that brings rich color and texture to any indoor collection. With dramatic shades of deep red, burgundy, purple, silver, and green, each leaf showcases unique patterns that make every plant a living work of art. Its compact size is perfect for bright shelves, desks, or display cabinets.
Collector Rarity: Common
✦Why You'll Love It
- •The Rex Begonia is grown for its spectacular foliage rather than its blooms. Its bold colors, intricate leaf patterns, and velvety texture make it a favorite among collectors and anyone looking to add a touch of elegance and personality to their space.
Please Note
You will receive a healthy 4-inch Rex Begonia similar to the one pictured. Leaf color, pattern, and variegation naturally vary between cultivars and individual plants, making each one beautifully unique. Minor cosmetic imperfections are normal and expected with live plants.
✦Care Summary
- •Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
- •Water: Water when the top inch of soil begins to dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy, and avoid allowing water to sit on the leaves.
- •Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity for its best growth and vibrant foliage.
- •Temperature: Thrives between 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
- •Growth Habit: Compact, mounding grower with large, colorful foliage that becomes fuller over time.
- •Pet Safety: Considered toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
- •The Rex Begonia is proof that foliage can be just as stunning as flowers, bringing bold color and luxurious texture to your indoor jungle all year long. 🍃❤️💜
